Reference magnets are used to quickly check the calibration of a Gauss/Tesla-Meter. They are calibrated permanent magnets traceable to NIST with an aperature for a Gauss/Tesla-Meter probe to be inserted. These devices can be used in conjunction with annual calibration of the instruments to guarantee continuous reliable performance.
