New Product Announcement: TS-1000 DC/AC Power Inverter
After launching the TN/TS-1500 series one year ago , MEAN WELL has announced the introduction of another new high performance DC/AC power inverter - TS-1000 series. Using high-frequency circuit topology, the true sine wave inverter is light weight and possess up to 92% of high efficiency. TS-1000 can provide 1000W continuously for all kinds of harsh load with low THD<3%. Peak load capability including 1150W for 3 minutes, 1500W for 10 seconds, or 2000W surge power for 30 utility cycles.
TS-1000 is controlled by a microprocessor and the output AC voltage and frequency can be adjusted easily through the front panel for various applications. Besides, the “standby saving mode” function can also be selected by end users through the same setting button to save the precious energy stored in the battery banks. MEAN WELL has announced the introduction of new miniature DIN rail switching power supplies, MDR-100 series, for the fast growing demand of low wattage DIN rail applications. Coral Springs, Florida —UNIPOWER announces a new series of hot-swap, high power density telecom inverters. The INV1000 Series are 1000VA/800W and 1500VA/1200W sine wave inverter modules which operate from a 48VDC input and provide either a 115 or 230VAC nominal output. Power density is 10.5VA/in³.
The design uses an advanced DSP controlled architecture to produce a very low distortion 50 or 60Hz sine wave at efficiency levels of 90% and better.
The modules are available with a compatible two-unit 1RU high, 19in shelf capable of providing double the output of a single unit or operating automatically in an N+1 mode. Multiple shelves can be connected in parallel to provide solutions up to 24kVA.
Inverters in the INV1000 Series can be operated independently or integrated using a matching controller or static transfer switch as well as a power distribution and maintenance by-pass unit. When the controller is used, a remote communications option provides PC connection via USB, RS232 or RS485 serial connection.
Front panel indication is provided for inverter status and relay alarm contacts are available on the rear panel. The modules are cooled by internal, variable speed fans.
All models meet the requirements of all relevant safety standards including UL60950-1, CSA22.2 No. 60950-1 and EN60950-1. The INV1000 Series units are RoHS compliant.

New product ~ RPS/D/T-60 Series (60W Medical / Industrial PCB Series )
MEAN WELL launches its first 4” * 2” PCB type switching power supply-RPS/D/T-60 series targeting at the medical and IT applications with the requirement of miniature size. The 5” * 3” PCB size has dominated the PCB type power supply market for many years and MEAN WELL also provide several choices from 45W to 200W for end users to choose from. However, based on the miniature trend of all kinds of electronic products, we believe that the 4” * 2” profile should be the next mainstream of the embedded PSU style and hence we would like to introduce these advanced models with 6.57W/in3 of high power density.Complying with both medical and industrial agency standards, these units can deliver their full rated output of 50~60W with only free air convection and also have 10% more peak load capability as the bonus power for users. Featuring only 200 µA of leakage current at 264VAC, they can be equipped into non-patient contact medical equipment and still comply with Class B per EMI regulations. Standard functions include short circuit, overload, and over voltage protections and the no load power consumption for single output models is as low as 0.75W that can be used in powering electronic equipments required the green mode. Besides, since the height is only 29mm , the RPS/D/T -60 series are suitable for 1U installations or other height-constraint applications. General medical usage that requires low leakage current, general electronic application, and low profile IT equipment are all suitable for applying this miniature product series.
